A strong exercise-focused approach to rehabilitation
We are looking for a physiotherapist who is enthusiastic about helping people achieve their health, rehabilitation, and performance goals. While previous clinical experience is preferred, it is not essential. We are committed to supporting the right candidate who demonstrates exceptional motivation, strong communication skills, a willingness to learn, and a passion for delivering high-quality patient care.
The Team:
Our multidisciplinary team consists of Physiotherapists, Exercise Physiologists, Allied Health Assistants, and Administration staff who work collaboratively to deliver exceptional patient outcomes.
At Healthy Mates, we pride ourselves on fostering a supportive, close-knit culture where team members genuinely enjoy coming to work. We value work-life balance and offer flexible working arrangements to help you build a career that complements your lifestyle. You'll be joining an energetic and welcoming team that is passionate about health, rehabilitation, performance, and continuous professional growth.
The Role:
As a Physiotherapist at Healthy Mates, you will:
Manage a diverse private practice caseload within a multidisciplinary team environment, including a high volume of musculoskeletal, sporting, orthopaedic, and rehabilitation presentations.
Work with a varied patient population, providing an excellent opportunity to develop broad clinical skills and experience.
Utilise our extensive rehabilitation facilities, including onsite hydrotherapy and contrast pools, strength and conditioning gym, clinical Pilates reformers, and exercise rehabilitation spaces.
Incorporate objective performance testing using AXIT technology, including force plates and handheld dynamometry, to guide assessment, rehabilitation, and return-to-performance decision-making.
Collaborate closely with a strong multidisciplinary referral network, including medical practitioners, specialists, coaches, and allied health professionals.
Deliver client-centred, evidence-based care focused on achieving meaningful functional and performance outcomes.
Develop and prescribe tailored exercise rehabilitation programs, both supervised and home-based, to support recovery and injury prevention.
Apply a range of hands-on treatment techniques where appropriate, including manual therapy, soft tissue therapy, dry needling, joint mobilisation, and manipulation.
Implement taping and movement optimisation strategies to support recovery, improve function, and reduce injury risk.
Educate clients on injury management, self-management strategies, and long-term injury prevention to empower them throughout their rehabilitation journey.
At Healthy Mates, you'll have access to industry-leading facilities, ongoing professional development opportunities, mentorship, and the support of a passionate team dedicated to helping clients perform at their best.
We offer:
Ongoing mentorship from experienced senior musculoskeletal and sports physiotherapists.
A collaborative, close-knit team culture where clinicians support one another and share a genuine passion for delivering exceptional patient outcomes.
Clear opportunities for career progression, professional development, and clinical specialisation.
A generous Continuing Professional Development (CPD) allowance to support your ongoing learning and growth.
The opportunity to work with some of the region's premier sporting organisations, including the Bendigo Braves, Bendigo Strikers, and Bendigo City FC.
Regular in-service education sessions and case discussions led by senior clinicians and external presenters.
Access to state-of-the-art strength and conditioning facilities to enhance both rehabilitation and performance outcomes.
Industry-leading rehabilitation facilities, including hydrotherapy pools, contrast pools, and sauna recovery services.
Exposure to advanced assessment and rehabilitation technologies within a high-performance environment.
Flexible working arrangements that support a healthy work-life balance.
Competitive remuneration package, negotiated based on experience, qualifications, and expertise.
If you're looking to accelerate your career within a dynamic, evidence-based, and exercise-focused practice, Healthy Mates provides the ideal environment to develop your skills and make a genuine impact within the Bendigo community.
You will:
Be enthusiastic about delivering high-quality, evidence-based physiotherapy services.
Thrive in a collaborative team environment and enjoy working alongside like-minded health professionals.
Have a growth mindset, with a commitment to continuous learning and professional development.
Be proactive, adaptable, and motivated to provide exceptional patient care.
Build strong relationships with clients through excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Bring a positive attitude, energy, and sense of humour to the workplace—we believe that a smile and a laugh can be an important part of the rehabilitation process.
Hold current AHPRA registration and a recognised Physiotherapy qualification.
APA membership is desirable but not essential.
